Wayfinding Master Plan

After years of feedback, we are redesigning the wayfinding system for our rail transit network. Meet SEPTA Metro.

You may not know what lines we mean when we say “Rail Transit”, and that’s something we want to fix. We’re referring to the Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, Norristown High Speed Line, and the 10, 11, 13, 15, 34, 36, 101, an 102 Trolleys. Together these routes carry hundreds of thousands of people per day and form the core of our city and regional transportation network. With frequent service around the clock, this network is critical for essential workers, shift workers, students, 9-to-5 commuters, or just people running errands and seeing friends. In short, the SEPTA Metro is the best way to move around Philly, and we want to make it easier to use and more accessible than ever before.

We’ve been working hard for the last year doing a lot of research – talking with riders and stakeholders, releasing surveys, facilitating workshops, conducting station walk-throughs, and reviewing years of customer feedback, tweets, suggestions, and thoughtful fan proposals. Now we’re ready to share some of our own proposals with you.
