SEPTA is transforming our system to serve the region through the 21st century and build towards a long-term vision of a unified lifestyle network.
The SEPTA Forward: Bus Revolution project will create a more efficient and accessible bus network by creating routes that are more direct, reliable, and easier to use. We will be taking an in-depth look at how the needs of our riders are changing and we want to hear from you. Learn more at SEPTAbusrevolution.com and find out how you can make sure your voice is heard.
Rail Transit Wayfinding Master Plan
SEPTA is redesigning the signage for its “Rail Transit” network to make sure riders have consistent information where and when they need it. This project will enable us to promote ridership post-COVID-19 by providing improved accessibility and enhancing the passenger experience through improved visual cohesiveness, navigability, and system branding.
Reimagining Regional Rail
SEPTA Forward envisions Regional Rail as part of a lifestyle network of frequent, all-day, and all-week services that connects people to a range of destinations across the region. Reimagining Regional Rail will create a vision of what that looks like and will identify the infrastructure, equipment, operations, and policies needed to get there.
SEPTA’s Trolley Modernization Program includes new ADA-compliant vehicles and stations with modern maintenance facilities and infrastructure. SEPTA’s trolleys are over 40 years old, inaccessible, and in need of replacement. Trolley Modernization is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to re-imagine on of the nation’s largest light rail networks to dramatically improve transit accessibility, capacity, and reliability for the benefit of communities.
King of Prussia Rail
SEPTA’s King of Prussia Rail Project (KOP Rail) will extend the existing Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) 4 miles into King of Prussia (KOP), connecting the Delaware Valley’s three largest employment centers—in 45 minutes.
Transit Supportive Community Development
We believe in transit supportive development surrounding our services and across the Southeastern Pennsylvania region, both to spur transit ridership, deliver economic development, and benefit the environment.
